Waterproof digital cameras and camcorders

Are you looking to get numerous outstanding underwater shark pictures in your quest to be National Geographics next big photographer? Or perhaps you just want a camera that you don’t have to worry when it comes to around the boat, beach or pool. While you may get an further and added add-on waterproof case for a good deal of existent camera, they may be expensive, bulky and awkward to both pack and use. Why not get a camera that’s already waterproof without calling for to spend extra cash on accessories.

There are various models out there, but my bestloved choice would have to be the Olympus Stylus 790SW waterproof, shock proof, dust proof, and freeze proof. The 790SW is the successor the the 770SW, which is still available, but a little harder to find. The biggest divergence amongst the two cameras, is that the older 770SW may go be used in up to 33 feet of water, whereas the newer 790SW may only be used in up to 10 feet of water. Olympus apparently decisive that the demographic for the 790SW weren’t big deep sea divers. Probably makes sense.

The other nice thing when it comes to the 790SW, is it’s all around durability. This has got to be one of the toughest cameras out there. Dropping it from 5 feet or less has no affect on the sensible internal workings. Why more cameras aren’t built this way I have no idea. Not only may you take you take pictures under the water, you may take it out in the snow with no worries as well. Temperatures as low as 14 degrees Fahrenheit, or -10 degrees Celsius won’t harm the camera. I’m more of a warm weather fan myself.

Friends of ours not long ago used their 790SW at one of those indoor water slide parks. They shot a video while hurtling through one of those big blue tubes from beginning to final submersion at the bottom. It’s a beauteous trippy clip as the light streams through the semi-translucent tube and the riders pitch to and fro. Definitely a fun camera. Some slight sacrifice in effigy quality are wholly outweighed by the fun element under these circumstances.

Functional with a touch of style

I bought this for my mom’s new digital camera, particularly to ensure that the camera didn’t break and that there was somewhere to store any extra cards. This handy neoprene case does just that. It’s simple and functional. My worry about leather, though it looks stylish, is will it be cushioned enough if the camera falls or gets bumped. Well, this case, because of the neoprene, will cushion any blows and ensure long life and use of your camera. Good purchase.

Just perfect!

Even though it is soft, provides the perfect security for my camera. I bought it for a Kodak V1003 and it fits perfectly and have extra room for another battery and my card reader. It doesn’t have space for chargers or any other type of cables but since that wasn’t the goal of my purchase i’m giving it 5 stars, thought you should know anyway.

Perfect for water resistant camera

This product fits my camera perfectly and is not at all bulky. A great safeguard from falls and the Velcro latch provides just enough security.
